Even though IELTS is one of the most important prerequisites for a student’s application for admission in Master’s courses in the UK, several UK universities relax the students on this eligibility criterion. This means students can pursue Masters in English in UK without IELTS. The IELTS is completely waived off after taking few conditions into consideration. These include assessment of the student’s class ten and twelve English language scores, students coming from English medium schools and telephonic interviews conducted for testing the English language proficiency of the students. Some universities in the UK consider the English language competence of a student by considering his or her scores in senior secondary and matriculation in English.

MSc in English in UK without IELTS is possible with a minimum of 60% in the twelve English language examinations. The minimum score is subject to change based on the universities. In some other cases, if the applicants have English as the main instruction medium throughout their school life and their overall grades are good.
